ROT FRONT

Information about company:

Bourgeois Lenov opened “Confectionary workshop” that had later developed into a large-scale factory “G.A. and E.S. Lenov Trade house” in 1826.  The factory was nationalized in 1917. The factory switched subordination in March of 1931 and was named “Factory #7” of Mosselprom trust. It was renamed “Rot Front” upon the employees’ request after E. Telman’s visit in 1931. Confectionary factories “Rot Front” and Marat integrated into confectionary complex “Rot Front” in 1971. CJSCT “Rot Front” was created in 1992. The enterprise was reorganized into OJSC “Rot Front” by the decision of the shareholders’ meeting on 5 July, 1996. Today, OJSC “Rot Front” is a member of  the United Confectionary Manufacturers management company.

Awards and achievements:

The factory has participated in 48 exhibitions, contests and fairs for a period from 1958 to 2004 where it won 174 gold, silver and bronze medals. It was granted Anniversary Honorary Sign in the honor of the USSR’s 50th anniversary in 1972 and Lenin’s honor for successful fulfillment of the ninth five year plan in 1976. “Rot Front” won Gold diplomas for its halvah, candies and caramel in contest “100 best goods of Russia” in 1998-1999. It got Grand Prix “Golden bowl” and Grand Prix “Golden prize of America” in Switzerland and the U.S in 1998; national prize “Product of the year 2000” for its chocolate in 2000; gold medal and diploma “Best product of the year 2004” for its halvah, chocolate and caramel during International exhibition in 2004.
