Brief history:
The factory starts its history in 1937 when the government decided to create a confectionary factory based on a food shop of shipyard “Red Sormovo” in order to provide Gorkiy city and the surrounding areas with confectionary products. The factory became the head of the production confectionary enterprise of Gorkiy in 1970. The factory was named LLC ‘Confectioner” after reorganization of 1991 and renamed JSC “Sormovskaya confectionary factory” in 1996. The factory entered LLC “Confectionary Concern Babayevsky” in 1997 and became a part of the United Confectionary Manufacturers management company in 2003.

- “Prodexpo 2003” gold medal for allsorts boxed candies “Magic of feelings”, “Magic of scent”, “Magic of color”, chocolate “Sormovo” made with fructose for high quality of the products.
- Silver medal for candies “Volga slope”, dark chocolate “Sormovo”.
- Sliver medal of Nizhniy Novgorod fair 2003 for cookies “Favorite animals” and “Orchid”.
- Bronze medal of World food 2003 for “Orchid” cookies, chocolate covered marshmallows “Excitement” 2004, “Orchid” cookies and “Morning” cookies with topping.
- Gold medals of exhibition “Life without pressure of diabetes”. “Safe, healthy, the best”. “Prodexpo 2004” – chocolate covered marshmallows “Excitement”. Chocolate with cream fudge filling “Sormovo”.
